Not being a desert cactus, it is best to keep your spring cactus out of direct sunlight; consistent, bright, indirect light is best. Allow the soil to completely dry out before adding only a moderate amount of water (think moist, instead of wet soil); this cactus will do the heavy lifting by storing water in its leaves.
In areas with year-around moderate to warm temperatures, your cacti can grow well, though in most cases, it is better to keep them indoors in a more controlled environment.
This hardy houseplant is originally from Brazil.
