Keep in bright, indirect light (eastern and southern exposure preferred).

Keep evenly moist but not soggy. Do not let the soil dry between waterings. Use filtered, bottled, or tap water sitting 24 hours to release the chemicals and water enough that the water discharges out of the drainage holes. Once the water is fully drained, replace it into the cache or decorative pot.

Spritz daily and add humidity by using a humidifier or a pebble tray to raise the levels to 50% or higher.

60°F-75°F indoors

Outdoors in a warm, shady spot (2-4 hrs.) where nights are above 50°F. Indoors in bright indirect light.

Dilute the water-soluble indoor plant fertilizer to half strength (10-10-10) and pour into the water when hydrating the plant every two weeks.

If the prayer plant becomes root bound, repot in a slightly bigger container with an indoor container mix that is well-draining. Gently remove the prayer plant and loosen the roots if they've become root bound. Replant and water thoroughly leaving the soil damp but not soggy. Hydrate the leaves with filtered watered by spritzing. Repot in the early spring before growth starts.

Spritz the leaves with lukewarm water and gently wipe or dab clean with a soft cloth or paper towel. Work gently from the base of the stem toward the tip of the leaf steadying the leaf blade in your palm as you wipe. After cleaning the leaves, remove any dead leaves or debris on the surface of the soil. Refreshen soil mixture if needed.

Stem cuttings can be taken from the parent plant. Simply cut with sterile scissors below the leaf node closest to the bottom of the stem to give some room to root. Dip in rooting hormone and place in a moist potting soil. Cover with a plastic clear bag to retain moisture and humidity while it roots. After three weeks, check the rooting of the baby cutting by pulling gently on the leaf. If it's snug, then roots are forming. Keep it covered until new shoots appear. Remove the clear bag at this point and keep evenly moist and humidity levels high while it matures.    To propagate by division gently remove the prayer plant and loosen the roots if they've become root bound. Replant and water thoroughly leaving the soil damp but not soggy. Hydrate the leaves with filtered watered by spritzing. Repot in the early spring before growth starts.
