Tales have it that the Hoya grew from the golden locks of hair left behind from the princess. The wavy curled leaves appear to be a relic of the golden locks of the fair maiden. The dazzling flowers from the stems are the jewels she wore on her crowned head.

Hoya carnosa 'compacta' thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sunlight but prefers to be shielded from the harsh midday sun. Insufficient light may hinder its growth and flowering.
Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's crucial to ensure the pot has good drainage. Water less frequently in the winter months.
This Hoya enjoys higher humidity levels, ideally between 60-80%. In drier climates, using a humidity tray or a room humidifier can be beneficial.
Hoya carnosa 'compacta' prefers temperatures between 60-80°F (15-27°C). It can tolerate short periods of cooler temperatures but should be protected from frost and freezing conditions.
Use a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the spring and summer months. Reduce feeding in the fall and winter when the plant's growth slows.
Repot when the plant becomes root-bound, typically every 2-3 years. Use a well-draining potting mix and a pot with drainage holes
Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust. This helps the plant to photosynthesize more efficiently and keeps it looking attractive.
