Stem Cutting:
In early spring, wearing gloves (leaves can cause dermatitis), take a Lantana cutting, using sharp pruners to remove a tip measuring 4-6 inches off the shrub with two sets of leaves or more.
Using an indoor seed starting mix, fill a small 4-inch container with drainage holes (too large of a container for the cutting will make it challenging to regulate watering needs).
Dip the stem into the rooting hormone and plant the stem tamping down the soil around it.
Place a clear plastic bag loosely around it to help it root faster.
Water the plant and keep it in bright indirect sunlight. After 4-6 weeks, the roots should establish.
